Finally got the time to get the footpeg brackets...

Finally got the time to get the footpeg brackets reinforced with pucks cut from quarter inch thick steel welded in after drilling and tapping, and put back together with 10.9 hardened bolts.

I had them torqued properly and checked them regularly. I think that the pounding they get while the rider is standing on the pegs on rough terrain is just too much stress. They loosened by stripping...

I have helicoiled the two bolts on the left and was wondering how secure they would be. Did you use Loctite at all in addition? May be it is time to consider some pre-emptive action on the right side...
