Don't test ride it if you know what's good for you. I test rode a 2014 gs with spokes, esa, etc.. rode away on the 1200. The thing is nimble. I didn't like the gsa as much, but the gs felt great....

He did tell me about the longer travel. I was asking more about valving and internals of the shock. Even if it needs to be resprung, I am ok with that. The rake was something we discussed as well.

Actually, I revived the thread. I rode both, talked to the maintenance manager and he said the frame and suspension are the same. I loved the 2014 gs and the throttle response sans "gyrating mass"....

I am an average strength guy. Maybe a bit above, but not a bodybuilder or anything. The f800 is tough to pick up, but doesn't kill me. Mine took 5 or 6 naps in one day and I was pretty darn tired...
