Check and make sure you didn't mix up the 2 valve cover bolts over the camshaft on that side... Those bolts are different lengths and if you mix them up the long one will bottom in the wrong hole...

I asked the OP on page 1 what kind of riding he prefers, and when he stated pavement and easy gravel I left it alone and did not even mention the Island... The best riding on the Island {in my mind}...
