By Land Rover 1974

Love your report. I did a similar trip in a Land Rover in 1974. Drove down from the UK, crossed into Algeria through the desert oasis or Figuig, Morocco, then down the central route with a detour to...

Full-Face or Open-Face?

When I was a kid I road with an open-face Bell Magnum helmet with a flat shield, just like the flat track stars. These days I ride with a full face helmet but often think an open face lid would be...

I had Touratech bars on my 2005 R1200GS. Although they were never tested, I liked them being there just in case. I might add that the TT bars were very well made and designed, something I don't see...

New R1200R

Just bought a brand new (2014) R1200R, Dark White, 250 miles so far. I sold my 05 R1200GS to buy it, not that it wasn't a great bike but after 10 years of ownership and my advancing age I thought it...

Great rig and RR. Could you please supply some details about mods to the bike? Did you maintain the stock wheel sizes? Why the new rear wheel? How did you attach the sidecar to the bike?
