Happened to me also Slatanic, except I did the lazy thing and pumped the tyre with holts tyre weld so I could make it home (no tools with me :cry)... Tube was totalled (from glass) so It didnt matter...

I have experienced something similar on my newish 990. The clutch seems to feel soft between 3rd - 4th under acceleration. There is no fade but the lever defo feels different.
