I am loving my GS although I know a ducati is in my future. I rode Harley's for a couple years to slow down. It worked well. Richard.

That's why I bought an hp2 and took off all the stuff that never should have been put on in the first place. When I tour I add a soft bag for the trip only. To each his own. Richard.

This years road trip was on my new,to me, bike. Which has a sport windshield. I looked at all kinds of upgrades like add on tabs, laminar lip,ect... because I had read all the windshield problem...

What I was doing was called an analogy, not going to define it for you. Of course the real way to tell if allowing more air flow and losing weight has no value we could always meet somewhere off-road...

Of course you have to do all of the modifications to realize any real performance increase. I know with my aftermarket pipe-muffler the weight savings by eliminating the cat coupled with what I did...

I know on my hp2 I tend to run the 17-21 wheels most of the time and the 17-17 feels strange at first but you get use to them quickly. I have the scotts damper on my bike on it helps alot in the deep...

Looks like fun to me. When I first got the hp I rode with dual sport clubs doing 100 mile real off-road rides, not on a dirt road on trails, but lately not so much. Just enjoy the bike and have fun....

The answer is subjective. I felt it was worth it. I also felt that the hp2 was worth it over the standard GS. I suppose to some people I waisted money on a lighter bike with better suspension....

Hp2 protection

On my hp2 I installed TT head protectors and took the the stock protectors cut them up to fit right over the fuel line area. Fits in nice and tight looks good and offers the protection I wanted....
