Holy Crap!

Just for fun I went to the Orange Crush site as I did own a KTM 950 Adv back in 2006-08. Been a while. Anyhow, thought I'd check to see how everyone likes their new 1190s. I was blown away by all the...

Adjustable shifters!

Are available. Seat height is 2 position, so can go an inch higher. The S10 has the most room of any adventure bike seat to peg and seat to handlebar. All others will feel cramped especially Triumphs.

Well!

If the S10 is lacking down low, that sure doesn't say much for all the other big Adventure bikes. The S10 is positively the King of Grunt. Mine pulls from 2000rpm without a stumble in top gear. Its...

$10,000!

You're joking, right. $18,000- $20,000. is more like it. It won't be a budget bike. And it'll be close to 500lbs if its a 1000cc street legal bike.

Versys!

Is a budget bike like a KLR. Not in the same category or even close to a Triumph Tiger 800. Grapes to oranges. Its more super moto than adventure bike even though some people do take them on dirt.

RTW Trip!

That's not even 1% of what it would be used for by most riders. Personally my RTW bike would either be a DR650 or a KLR. No way I"d take an expensive bike. But for the other 99% I want a big powerful...

I think!

There has been so much talk of an Africa Twin for the last 2 years, that Honda had to show us something. Hence the mock up. I'm sure it'll be at least another year to year and a half before we can...

Man. I don't miss those rocks out there. Must have hit every one of them over and over back in 70s, 80s, 90s. Glad you kids are still allowed to have fun out there.

I believe Flying E Rd was called Willow Creek Rd before. We stopped on the bridge for a while for a break. There is a ranch right there. Nice spot.

If its 1000cc!

Here in Canada if it will really exist will be in the $18,000. range. Honda has almost priced itself out of the market since the PowerHouse BS. IMHO.

You're Fogetting!

The 2014 Super 10 is way better than the 1st generation. So if you are comparing it to a GS or GSA at least compare it to a 2014 not a 12-13. I had a 2012 and now have the 14. Also had a new at the...

2014 es!

2014!

Is so much better than the 1st Gen bikes, you won't feel the need for the CM. Too many improvements to list. I know, I went from a 2012 to the 2014ES.

I could go on and on about the 2014 but nobody listens. You have to put a lot more miles on yours before trading. Maybe the 2016 will have even more updates. Wish I had waited for the 2015 though....

Thanks for the memories. Great pics. You're getting almost as good as Lycan1 at photos. Oregon coast 1976 brings back fond thoughts of Anita. Can't say more. Keep on riding!
