I've heard of the new apple firmware dropping charge rates down and displaying messages about not charging (even though it is) when it detects non-apple cables. Maybe another variable.

If that's the end result I think its fine. Keeps the tube from ovaling so you can get the bolt up to proper torque but otherwise has no purpose.

I drilled small holes in the side covers so I can get the seat bolts out with a socket. I much prefer getting the cables disconnected before dragging it under the frame.

I've heard of them out of spec at 1000km from the factory. Mine was ok at 6k, did an adjustment at 18k for a trip, time for me to do another check. Now that i know where i am im ok with the book...

And the ais system on the second gen afterburn as a matter of course. Tough to use popping on decel to determine lean, its way over rich before it quits doing that. Easy system to disable though.

And don't crank the rear preload up too high. It'll set the steering angles too steep. It should settle about 1/3 of the travel with you and all your gear on it.

Should be OK with grips and a vest but install a voltimeter on your dash and monitor the situation. If it drops below 13v you're not charging anymore.
