Looks like that bike has been down before.

Windshield busted off, no mirrors, sliders worn down, ignition cover scraped; telltail signs.

She must have been dressed for the slide that time, or her boyfriend was riding it. :wink:

I'd fit a skid plate on that thing before I got too crazy off-road. That motor, and especially that oil filter look a little vulnerable.

A set of fiber plates and possibly springs would most likely take care of it. The steel plates are usually ok. Not a hard job, the worst part is getting the old gasket material off the cases.
