I have the gasket already, just waiting for the motivation. Need to pull the S fairing, etc, to get to the headlamp. It's one of those if it's not broken why fix it scenarios.

Rick's R/R

As preventative maintenance I went ahead and installed a Rick's regulator rectifier.

With OEM R/R there was no charging below 3.000 rpm, which was concerning.

The Rick's R/R is running 14.6v...

Gloves are deer skin (faded badly). I have been using deer skin gloves for many years. Great feel, reasonable crash protection.
The rag is simply a wool cap, it was in the 30's that morning......

I specifically went with the 5th Gen because it DOES NOT HAVE VTEC.

Went for a 100+ mile ride today. Mostly freeway :puke1 but that's LA for ya.
Bike is very comfortable, very quick, very smooth. :thumb

Got the air box back on... THAT was a PITA!
Just need to put the gas tank back on and test fire the engine.
Still need to burp the cooling system, but I'm confident the cooling...

The thermostat is conveniently (convenient for no one) located underneath...
