Yup, I agree. Drag bikes have absolutely smooth rears for maximum traction. You need deep tread for traction in mud and dirt and water displacement. But I still wonder why the front is backwards. ...

Can someone tell me why the tread patterns on highway tires are reversed front to rear? It seems the front is backwards compared to the directional treads I see on cars (especially rain types).
