I never removed that check valve at the oil tank, only the plug to the tank, the filter and bottom 19mm drain plug. This oil tank check valve seems worth a look

I'm very comfortable on my KTM 990, if your shorter keep in mind. you ride with your balls of your feet on the Pegs not dragging on the ground.
