It definitely seems like it goes on the inlet or the outlet of the radiator to restrict the flow. I couldn't find it in parts manual or the srvice manual.

Any ideas?

Speedometer still works when you unplug the rear sensor. Abs light stays on solid. I've had it like this on my '07 for 2+ years. You can add a remote switch if you want a quick on off.
