I use the LV & stock tune with great success. However, I never remove the quite core. If you want it loud, then you'll want the arrow tune. I live & ride at sea level.

My XC has always used oil on long stretches over 75mph. After 4 tanks of gas, I have to add about 1/2 quart. Normal riding does not use any oil even when I rev out the gears.
