Tempuratues in the shade in the Yuma area can get into the high 110's during the day and in the high 80's at night. A shade canopy will help quite a bit, but extra insulation is your friend.

The KTM fan kit is great...no more boil overs and easy to install. But the kit comes with a 85 degC temp switch and my fan would run so much the battery would die. I replaced it with a 100 degC...

Plans on lots of oil changes, lots of rear tires, and lots of grins. If you want max power, get an 04. If you want reliablility, get an 07-08. Don't bother with the 01-03 bergs.
