Battery is toast. Had the exact same situation and found the 12 volts was just a " surface charge " with no real CCA(?) to back it up.:cry

Replaced it and all was well.

Been using the MSM spring for a year or so now. BIG improvement !! The progressive fork springs didn't seem to provide as much of a benefit as I thought they would UNTIL I installed the MSM spring....

Forgot to mention in my earlier post that I added an inline 3 amp fuse from the float charger. My thinking is that if the charger takes a dump, the 3 amp will blow and not " overcharge " the battery....
