Love those NSUs and

wish there was a big English-language picture book about their fascinating technical and racing history.
They really influenced my thoughts re the bikes I've built and ride.

I like to look at NSUs and they

are fine quiet refined bikes to ride (the 250s). I like to look at photos of the Rennmax maschines also, beautiful engineering and craftsmanship.

good idea

to have a folding windshield, as a tall one can reduce gas mileage by a LOT and cause your arm muscles to feel strained and tired.
Usually the back room of a motorcycle dealer has a pile of old...

You have it

mostly figured out, if I were doing it I'd consider looking in the Harley parts catalog at the sidecar axle, so that I could use the 16 inch HD wheels on all three corners.
Some Harley guy here will...

I had heard

that Tim and Tom sold the Norton, almost embarassed to admit that they let me sit on it and pretend that I was at the TT races.
Did Senor Tomas in Spain buy it?

Funny you should say

that about the script, as when those bikes were new, everyone hated the new design. Sunbeam riders were very conservative and modernizing an old traditional pushrod 500 was considered to be declasse...

The unsprung weight of a LL fork is little if any more than teles, or do you mean the otal weight of a set of leading link forks vs the standard telescopics?

on my

ancient British machine, with LL forks, I use Hagons with a slightly heavier spring than the rear ones. Very happy with them. I don't seem to need the (expensive) adjustability of more modern designs.
