Congrats. I suspect you'll be very pleased. If you have the money to spend, I don't think there's much down-side to the V2, except mpg's. And you get more than adequate gain in performance...

Agreed. Most manufacturers recommend 7.5-8K mile oil changes now. Most folks change their oil way too much, IMO. I stopped that years ago. Too many other variables are more telling.

The -07 is, hands down, faster. However, I prefer the heavier hitting, slower revving, toquey feel of the Versys. It just puts down bubbly, effortless torque, especially for a 650, and feels relaxed...

Agreed. Most folks change their oil out of paranoia far too frequently. Not a big deal or a bad thing, per se. Just not necessary, IMO, for the "norm."
