on some trailers...
My 6 x 12 is designed for electric brakes and I want to add them. Haven't seen any electric brakes for smaller trailers like my 4 x 8. Brakes on a light trailer may be a mixed blessing, sort of like...

Commuter boy, sorry to hear of your experience with the Ninjette. As for 3rd party warranties, no way- the insurance company has no motivation to keep you happy so you'll buy another bike from the...

Charged it up good, showed 12.8 volts no load. Started up and was giving 13.5 volts charge @ 3000 RPM right away. After a couple more starts was back to 13 volts max @ 4000 RPM. I'm beginning to...

Airhead: Low Charge After Storage?
The patient is a '92 R100GS that I finally put back together after being apart since 2008. It fired right up and the tranny I messed with seems to shift OK, but I'm not getting a healthy charge. I...

"Chopper" no, standard or cruiser, yes.
IIRC, the XS650 started as a standard and then morphed into a cruiser, and in '79 I believe both configurations are offered. If anybody's got the jones for this bike, it's in Reeder, ND. That's on US...

Unless the parts are almost free...
I'd leave it alone. Going from 3.20 to 3.36 is only a 5% increase, probably not worth the bother. The big pistons will give a bit more power, but if you use that power for long it'll just run hotter...

Barn Find: mid 70s Yamaha YZ250 for $25!
It'd been a long day at the auction. The bill promised a '63 Corvair, '73 VW, Honda MB5, and a "Yamaha 250". I'd gotten up at 4:30 am, and driven 200 miles, the last half dozen down a bad dirt road....

But these are aircooled engines. My...
