So I've disconnected and removed the side cover...

So I've disconnected and removed the side cover and removed the 3 bolts on the stator but I cannot remove the 2 screws. I'll squirt some WD40 on them to see if that eases them up, any other advice?

I have them on my F800GS and they're great. They're basically the Hella DE lights which are excellent quality. I wiped out on some wet tram tracks in Irkutsk and bashed the lights on one side bending...

I use the Wolf Tail and the Rainier on my F800GS. They're quite roomy... you might get a binder in if you pack it strategically. Put it in at an angle - downwards at the front and up at the back...
