I had a slave cylinder leak; pretty sure the current issue is at the master. In about 500-1000 miles it gets exceptionally soggy; a quick bleed fixes it.

I track mileage by the odometer and gas and an iPhone Ap. The computer is /always/ optimistic.

MPG is also massively dependent, for me, on how gung-ho I am with the throttle....
