I did 600 miles a week ago in one day SF to Vegas via Death Valley and the comfort seat did great. I hurt all over after but not because of the seat :)

I just re-sprung my fork springs for $400 including parts and labor...I can't imagine spending another $3k on the bike since I'm pretty happy with it now.

Maybe if I knew I'd be putting 100k miles...

I find the fuel gauge system on the F800GS amusing. When the low fuel light comes on, I typically drive no more than 10-20 miles before refueling but often have as much as 1.1 gallons of gas left....
