ive handled both 800gs and 1200gs ...dad owned the 1200... anyways Itsatdm and BMW-K r right on the street the 1200 cant be beat but once u but a suspension on a 800...its the best 50/50 bike out...

my opinion... i got the traxxion ak20 forks for around 1300.00 i think and bought the high dollar elka for about 800.00 so for new suspension 2100.00 instead of buying a 20,000+ bike id go for...

that traxxion suspension is the way to go if u want to keep it as cheap as u can and not do a whole lot of fiddle'n around just pull forks off ...send them to traxxion dynamics...they send them back...

ive had this bike for five years now (f800gs) us87-100 no problems using any of it no remapping and all that gas had ethanol in it except the racing fuel...one cap full of techtron a year......

subframe doesnt matter its steel ...i hope and can be tweaked but that scratch looks a worse than that...full blown crack unless my eyes r bad and im assuming its fiberglass or carbon fiber.... hope...

like the tiger too but that big heavy gas tank makes it top heavy and a pain in ass off road, the f800gs tank position is perfect but that being said i would not want to drop these things off road...

test drove the tiger when they first came out and for me...it was to top heavy but at least they got almost everything else right after copying the gs and faster at fixing problems than BMW...

If i had to do it all over again Ktm 950 or 990 that way i know i just saved myself 4-6k for wheels and suspension right off the top...and chop, grind rebuild everything else to suit...

yeah just got done surfing through the cyclops led direct replacement lights...he has a problem with the high beam cap that hes going to work on or source a deeper cap from somewhere then their good...

took the halogens out of my2010 after 1st year....replaced with 1OffMotorsports hid now its burned out...do any of you know if bmw has gone to hid or led for new bikes or is their now a direct bulb...
