I pulled the vent hose and the check valve seems to be working. I checked the How for the balance shaft seal and I'll look onto that next.

After thinking about this it seems the most likely cause is the back pressure valve on the crank case breather part number 60030090300.

Do I just need a new valve and two new clamps?
