Mine glows after normal riding as soon as I stop for a minute or two, even in cool weather. I think MotoLab's avatar used to be of a glowing DR exhaust.

Thanks. The oil in there was hot and I was adding a tiny bit to bring it up to max, at that point it sort of steamed up the spy glass. The oil itself is clear.

For fiddly stuff that likes to strip easily like the oil filer cover bolts I find a smaller socket helps. More feel of when it's snug with a 1/4" on a tiny breaker bar.
