I had my forks swapped out by the dealer, then some other work, and walla one day..

+1 Man. From my own experience this is exactly the issue, and wish I'd bumped into this wisdom before adopting this solution. The GS has a huge turning radius, lots of movement that street bikes just...

Talking Pretty much the entire experience made me think road bike.

I don't think I'd want to ride it off road, that's kind of my point, so thanks for allowing me to clarify it. The entire experience made me think road bike. Certainly the lower profile wider tires...

Cool2 I road the R1200GSW and you won't pry my R1200GS from my grip!

I road the R1200GSW this past weekend and my Facebook comment was, "This bike officially crosses over from Adventure Bike to Road Warrior".

Twitchy power (I could seriously do without this on a...

Yes, but..

Apparently the dealer filling out paper work for BMW warranty doesn't mean they have to produce the paper work for me. I find it entirely adversarial to not provide me with a copy of the repair...

It's happening again, noticeable oil at top of seal again...

Went back dealer and was informed it's out of their hands now and BMW has to decide how to handle it. I can understand the dealer...

Thumb I went with the TT hardpart becaused I use a hyperpro steering damper.

I went with the TT hardpart becaused I use a Hyperpro steering damper. The Hyperpro damper mounts to the fork so the Wunderlich steering stop would not have worked.

It's one of those things that...

Cool2 Shafted!

You know you want a shaft drive, however nice those other bikes are, shaft drive! And the new one is liquid cooled, no longer a rational for not getting a shaft drive! (I love my 2012 GS though).

What's amazing is so many people suffer from this design flaw and they tolerate third party solutions. Sure it's the right fix vs a $500 plus installation bill, but I personally prefer not to have to...

Wink GS low suspension might be your solution.

I have a 30" inseam and ride 2012 GS. My feet just barely touch flat on both sides at a stop, no issues with this really and love the bike, but did do a 0-1 mile an hour awkward stop roll over...

I'm curious how quickly the air cooled GS 1200 farkle market will dwindle?

I imagine it'll be healthy for another 5 years?

Cool2 Hyperpro from Epmperf.com

+1 on the Hyperpro.

I really don't like the idea of messing with the stearing stem for the top mounted options.

Hyperpro is working great on my 2012 GS.

There's only one that'll fit the GS

Just make sure whoever you buy from knows the details of your bike year and model.

Epmperf.com's Klaus is tr guy I worked with.

Size 75 w/RSC and bike specific mounting kit was what I got.

I agree, and I like the Hyperpro RSC (reactive) so that you can have minimal dampening riding normally, then the dampening kicks in hard when a big jar happens. I leave it 7 clcks (22 max).

It...
