I have changed the rotors on my 2001...the fasteners are OE...so far, all is well....come to think of it, my crush washers are all OE, as well. Wow, I'm living on borrowed time.

Your generation ABS is one of the most desirable IMO. The bleeding procedure is simple and that ABS hydro unit is repairable should it ever need work (a new one from the BMW folks is $2000.00+).

I have used 75w-140 synthetic GL-5 in my transmission and FD since my 2001 GS was new. I do ad some moly for friction reduction and to improve shifting.

The synthetic GL-5 does not shear as fast...
