Im on roadtrip now with my 1999 883 and ive gone 500 miles today and the vibration was a non-issue. My average speed was 65-75. What a great bike!

Ironhead Sportys and Shovelheads are two different types of Harley's. Shovelhead is a big twin and the ironhead is a Sportster. I can see it being confusing as the Shovel is based off the Ironhead...

Got some work done on the bike last night....

Got some work done on the bike last night. installed the new front fender (thanks OLD GREEN) in addition to replacing the bent handlebars, broken clutch perch and twisted rear turn signal brackets.

Clutch switch really necessary on an R60/6?

I bought a replacement perch for my 1974 R60/6 but it's from a /5 so there is no hole for the clutch switch. Is the switch really necessary? Can I just remove iit? What would that do exactly?
