R100 pops out of first.
My '77 R100S will, under hard acceleration, pop out of first gear. This was happening at around 3000-3500 RPM, when twisting hard.
I usually accelerate easily enough that it seldom occurs, but...

A nice bike!
I had a similar R80 with single disc brake, and it was quite satisfactory. I'm more what I call a sometimes relaxed, sometimes "quick" rider, than a speed racer.
I have an R100s now, my first bike...

Ride the R80
All my old bikes were R75s and R80s, mostly run 12 months a year, rain or shine. I didn't have a bike for 19 years, and I just got an old R100S, for which I always had a hard-on back in the day.

Need some R100S Krauser bags help.

Lowest underdressed, 25 degrees F. in T-shirt, long john pants, and jeans. That's when you can cut glass with your...

R90/R100 Add-on oil cooler?
I'm shopping for an R90 or R100. I sometimes have to deal with heavy summer traffic, slow stop-and-go in 90 degree plus temps.
Can anyone tell me, if the bike doesn't originally have an oil cooler,...

Can we add R80 and R100 to the question?
I'm in a similar quandary. I've owned an R75/5, an R75/6. amd an R80ST (converted to standard), all naked. I haven't had a bike for about twenty years.
My budget (for a rider, not a collector's...
