I had a Remus, it made very little diffeence in terms of noise. I put on a Leo Vince carbon fiber slip on and it sounds great, louder and real low pitched, not loud enough to piss anyone off though....

my DRZ SM does good

I was impressed with how well mine did on dry trails. Not so good in the wet or mud on street tires. Was really shocked at how well it does at the ocean in the sand. They are great bikes.
