I believe the spokes on your 08 are larger diameter than those on a 07..you probably need a 08+ hub.

depending on how badly your hub/speedo drive is damaged the bike may still be ride-able. ...

very comfortable ergonomics...with a seat upgrade i can pull 600 miles a day on it and 300 a day on dirt easy. im 6'1"...

a klr can do it....no problem...if you can afford it a suspension upgrade will transform the bike and will make the hard terrain much eaiser on you and the bike.
