The tank says "CTX" I think. And it looks to be a rear drum brake. Definitely a Honda - but I don't think it's an XRL.

Looks like the blade is inline with the handle....

Looks like the blade is inline with the handle. You actually split the wood and slide the blade in the center. The clamping mechanism holds it all together at that point.

I really like the DR650 motor. Not sure what the specs say - but seat of the pants say it's got more power and probably more torque. Feels smoother than the XRL too. I don't like the ergos or off...

Didn't get much for cross training today. But I had a blast busting drifts. And the kids convinced me that the reflex would make a good tug. It worked surprisingly well - even in fairly deep snow.

Anyone with real trials bike experience will tell you that they are heavy and underpowered. But, compared to my XR650L, it's light, peppy, and responsive. I guess it depends on what you want to do...
