I rode it last year and plan to do some riding this year as well. Watch the deep ruts and the some blind corners with oncoming 4X4's. probably best to ride with a partner on this one.

If you do carry I might recommend a small darrenger as it seems to minimize the weight and acts as a reasonable deterrant (in my case against snakes while off bike and rabid skunks while hiking;-). ...
