I'm using a Brembo off of a Husqvarna 450, same as most small Euro bikes. It feels better than the stocker with one disc, might be a little too small but it works for me.

Should be 5mmX1, once Heli coiled the threads will be way stronger and you shouldn't have an issue again.

The kits look like these but these are both 8mmX1.25...
