An update.
r1100gs now has 36,000. This noise still comes and goes. All's well and have done nothing to the FD or gear box. It is less pronounced when warm. Ride and don't worry

way round
BMW Canada tried this on me twice. Both times I was able to obtain a recall clearance from a dealer in the states for free. Both letters were accepted at customs.
BMW Canada blows.

How many of us out here?
Anybody ride through the winter?
I'll be commuting from St. Margaret's Bay into Halifax this winter, roads permitting.

Good to go.
Nice, solid HT rack for the f650 dakar I had. I had the big boxes mounted, can't remember what they were called. Good build, water proof and saved the bike once on a dump. The box survived too. ...

Replaced the 80/90 with 75/140 in the FD today. The sound and slight vibration is still there when coasting with the clutch lever pulled in but it is now reduced. I assume this is because...
