Had the same issue with mine. Dealer said it was a fuel sensor. They said the sensor likely overheated when the fuel was low and caused the issue the next time I tried to start it.

My water pump went out this past September and had it replaced by my dealer. He says the new replacement water pumps are supposed to last 30K miles. We'll see.

I have great respect for anyone doing the WRT two up!!! Goss & I did it on 9/18 on a pair of KTM 950's and we went clockwise. That put the hardest part at the end.....maybe better to do it...
