A great loop is from

The la Sal mountain loop road south of town to Thompson canyon, then out Onion Creek. Thompson canyon is easy going down, and when you are fatigued, you get that great 128 hwy ride back to town....

There's two rough sections. If you cant get up the first section near deep creek you should abandon the attempt. It gets rougher.

When you get to the second rock pile, you may be delayed by jeeps....

Redonda ridge is a rocky, snotty trail with some overhangs and a ledge or two..also called Malcolm Smith Trail. A quad may make it, but why?

I take it for quick deployment the sleep bag is inside the hammock, all you need do is hang it, and put on the pad, space...
