I don't speed shift or shift violently....I just shift with the clutch for normal take offs, and when I need to goose it, I drop the clutch but always have it close to the right rpms.

when the lever is let out, the bike WONT move in any gear....

So the tensioner could be the problem..... I'm glad I purchased a Vesrah Rocker cover gasket in advance.

I guess if the tensioner is not working properly, it could be over tightening the chain.

I've seen my owners from which I've bought bikes from never put oil in the cylinder or coat the chrome with WD40.
