Excellent thread. I have an 09 that I bought new in June 08. 4k miles on her to date. Spend most of my time tooling around the northern catskills, southern Albany county of New York. Love this bike.

northern catskills, ~3 hours to boston, 2 hours nyc, 2 hours adirondacks, 2 hours vermont, 1 hour berkshires, excellent riding in your backyard. of course im a little biased.

search forums for "minimalist touring", more info on 200/250 machines than you could ever use. oh yeah im 6'2" and 215. my klx250s carts my butt around at 70mph or better.

i've gone as far as 200 miles with one on. uncomfortable by the end but doable. you dont have to wait until you have a totally farkled ride to get out there.
