My vote is a bad O2 sensor or something else that will put it in open loop operation. Or something else emissions related. But I only have experience with this stuff on cars.

If it has a Colorado title that says "motorcycle" on it then it should be no problem. If it is from out of state you will need a VIN inspection but no equipment check if it has a motorcycle title.
