With the stock pilot jets, that bike should take a solid 10 minutes at idle to warm up. I used to ride mine at 1/2 choke so I didn't have to wait. It sounds like yours has been jetted properly.

It's a safe bet that the shop didn't bother changing the jetting at all. Pull the carb and tell us what main jet is in there. You're gonna need to go smaller than what that supertrapp required.

The pumper carb makes a big difference on the dr350se...mostly because it's an easy bike to ride hard in the dirt....and the stock cv sucks on the 350. I've found that the cv on the dr650 works...

The stock petcock works fine. I'd look at vac line, fuel filter, main jet, and air filter first. If fuel isn't making it through the petcock, you have serious tank problems.

They may be talking about tank venting. The bike is not getting enough fuel to keep it running at WOT (70ish should be about wide open). Do you have a fuel filter on the bike? Stock main jet?
