I could have gotten it to sit flush. I installed it deeper to not obstruct the oil port at 12:00. I thought it was a huge mistake to cover it up.

I may have to. They are asking $55 and I feel that is a little much. The plastic housing is ok. The beveled nipple that inserts into the tang broke off. I'm going to try to repair it somehow.
