FWIW, tbolt (Stacy) and myself were able to complete the ride, at least complete our version of the Oregon Back Country Discovery Route.

I've done it before, jump started a bike from a car battery before. As stated just don't start the car. You shouldn't need to since the battery has enough reserve to crank the bike for a long time.
