5,000 lumen LED lights, anyone?
Less than 70 bucks for the bare led array.
I'm no electronics expert.
But I think it runs on 25.4v current, drawing 2.1 amps. Sure seems like the electrical draw of your typical 55w halogen bulb....

Broke my 1100gs rear U-joint
400 miles from home. 60K on the bike.
As I repair this , is there any collective wisdom of things to look for so this happens later, rather than sooner, next time?

I think they're
plenty strong enough.
If you remove the pedal itself from the axle it rotates around, you'll find a solid steel shaft of about 9/16th in diameter.
I jumped on them in the shop with the bike on the...

Stock bmw bag on the exhaust side was trying to warp from heat. Blinker did warp.
I extended the exhaust on my gs1100 with a chunk of pipe sawn from my scrap...

I rode
these roads last summer.
Stock shocks on my gs1100 with 45K on the bike.
There are no big jumps or huge holes.
Think of it as a really long, fairly rough gravel road.
Semi trucks drive the roads...

I recently replaced
the F & R shocks on my r1100gs, and I noticed a wandering on the highway that wasn't there before.
Check the ratio between the front and rear preload.
I've played with it, and with preload at both...

master cylinder
Saw a cable actuated , remotely mounted master cylinder on a bike once. Handlebar hydraulic cylinders are ugly.
