My local dealer gave me the same two week BS a couple months ago. Fortunately the US Dollar is strong now vs Australian dollar so Vortex ecu is cheaper than normal, and no OEM constraints with that...

I put some Motoz on for a 1700 mile ride in Baja a couple weeks back. They didn't do any better than others that had mt-21s on. Going back to f/r mt-21 on 690. Still undecided on the mountain...

Sounds about right. I put one on my 690 a couple weeks back, it lasted 8 days in Baja and didn't do any better than bikes with M21's, but the mountain hybrid seems to do well on my smaller bike.

I don't think you'll have that problem. Mine ran perfectly right off the showroom floor. It's much better now, though.

Give the wiring behind the headlight a long look, KTM does a lousy job...

Radius vs Diameter, the front is not 4 inches shorter going from 21 to 17. Yes, it feels lower in the front just putting on a 17, but not that much.

Mine has popped off a time or two while I was working on it, nothing to worry about. It survived 1700 miles in Baja last week without coming off so it did better than some other things on the bike.

JD only does fuel if I remember correctly. I similarly had issues with local dealer actually saying the ecu was locked and couldn't be unlocked, so just bought a vortex ecu instead of telling them...
