Thanks. Looks like you are correct. Opened the inspection plug and found the rotor bolt backed out. Gotta open it up to check for damage.

08 w 36k on the clock. Rode to work this AM. Parked, gear in neutral, turned off ignition switch, motor felt like piston cycled once or twice then shuddered.

Ive got 38000 miles on my 08. Bought it new on December 07. It burns oil if I hammer it above 5000rpm on the slab. Otherwise. It doesn't burn oil.

KLR is inop - waiting for parts.
Looks like I'll be riding the K1200 IF I can get a new front tire mounted today.
Will the K bike be agile enough for the trail ride? I have TK80's mounted.

Thanks. I did put tape over the threads before I put it on but I may have put it on in the wrong sequence/place.

Water Pump Seals

2008 KLR 32K.
Water pump leaking antifreeze.
Ordered part.
Replaces mechanical seal and oil seal and o ring along with gaskets on clutch cover and water pump cover.

Great - no more antifreeze...
