I know I sound like a broken record, but I would highly recommend the Bridgestone Trailwing TW21 and TW22. Good both on and off road, and excellent longevity.

Since you will be riding on the street a lot I would recommend the low front fender. People seem to be polarized on it's looks, but for me it has been one of the best mods.

Running around town I keep the recommended tire pressure. I never air down the tires for off road either. On Long Island there isn't enough dirt to go for a mile without being back on pavement.
