Not sure where I read it but I used vice grips on the rim of the inlet (sits hard up against the carb body) and had no trouble. Means that you cant crimp the inlet if it wont spin.

leaking cct

Thanks to all regarding the leaking cct.

Am now at William Creek and a smear of RTV appears to have fixed the problem.

CCT leak

HI all

Currently at Leigh Creek on the way to the Simpson and I have a leak at the CCT, getting worse each day.

Any thoughts on smearing rtv around the gasket as a quick fix? Would prefer not...

Problem Solved

Spoke with Robin at Aqualine today, suggested I heat and bend the brace forward a little after applying some heat.

Bent it forward about 10mm and then put the brace on before the tank bolts. Push...
