"As you have made the fork shorter the volume will be different (much less) so you have to do it by measurement from the top of the fork with the the spring etc out....

I hadn't Phil.. went by what many others that took the same cut on the springs here have done and went with their volume. I'd be interested if anyone has the original distance down the fork.
