I must say albeit less than 1300 miles, but that is a remarkably clean bike! Even the tires still look new! It's as wonderfully spotless as a bike that's only ever been in a garage and accessories...

Did you check the valve clearances? Very sensitive to adjustment, and mine seems to just sit there and go out of adjustment occasionally.
